Hi, I'm Jack Zemke.

I build AI systems that people actually use.

I'm a forward deployed engineer at Lazarus AI, an enterprise AI company whose platform works with any foundation model and can run in a client's own environment. I work directly with clients: building on their real data, running demos, and getting solutions deployed. Before Lazarus, I was the founding AI engineer at Souder, Miller & Associates, a 300-person engineering and construction consulting firm, where I ran AI from discovery through production and adoption and reported to the CEO.

I graduated magna cum laude from Tulane University in May 2025 with degrees in Computer Science and Economics and a 3.95 GPA. My senior capstone, REGGIE, an AI regulatory research tool built for Entergy, was awarded Most Outstanding Senior Capstone in Computer Science. Before Tulane, I studied Computer Engineering at UC Santa Cruz. I was also recently featured in an AP story on the computer science job market.

I care about building AI systems that solve real problems, not impressive demos. Right now I'm focused on getting AI into production for high-stakes work: client-hosted and on-prem deployment, data validation that catches what people miss, and tools non-technical users actually want to use.
